How To Pack Your Dishes & Glassware For Moving

oliviawilson001

Packing dishes and glassware properly is essential to prevent damage during a move. Start by gathering packing materials like bubble wrap, packing paper, and sturdy boxes. Line the bottom of each box with crumpled paper for cushioning. Wrap each dish and glass individually with packing paper or bubble wrap, securing it with tape. For plates, place them vertically in the box like records to reduce the risk of breakage. Stack glasses upright and fill any empty spaces with paper or foam peanuts to prevent shifting. Use dividers for stemware and fragile glassware for extra protection. Seal the box tightly and label it as "Fragile" with an arrow indicating the correct upright position. Finally, avoid overpacking the box to prevent it from becoming too heavy. Proper packing ensures your dishes and glassware arrive at your new home safely and intact.
